There is a fairly “new” and prominent “influencer” on the scene pretending to be a down to earth “normal” person despite the fact that they’re wearing fucking Meta Glasses and jet setting across the country every day or so to show off a new place to eat because… she’s bored?
Inspired to publicly bitch about it on the Internet by this Reddit post, it truly confounds me the sheer audacity of a white woman to go up to strangers and act like there is nothing creepy or weird about violating people’s privacy by posting them online without their explicit consent (or consent… at all), and then pretend like she’s not also being, frankly, cringe with the name dropping and very obvious clout seeking.
There is also something particularly insidious about the lack of appreciation for what the cuisine or establishment actually stands for and, instead, makes it entirely about her lmao.
